Business ambassador
Professor Zbigniew Michalewicz (Computer Science) has been appointed a Business Ambassador for South Australia by the Premier, the Hon. Mike Rann. He joins the University's Vice-Chancellor Professor James McWha and Director of Marketing & Communications Michael Neale and more than 200 like-minded business leaders located in 20 countries around the world in a unique networking program promoting SA. "Professor Michalewicz will make an outstanding addition to our program," said Hillary Hurrell, Director of the South Australian Business Ambassadors Network (SABAN). "An appointment as a Business Ambassador recognises the outstanding talent and experience of the candidate and additionally celebrates their success and acknowledges their commitment and passion for the State." Professor Michalewicz has been highly successful in securing multi-million-dollar industry contracts from companies such as General Motors, Ford, Bank of America, US Department of Defense, and others, and his scientific and business achievements have been recognised by many invited talks and publications, including TIME, Newsweek, and Forbes.
