Internationalisation Committee

The Internationalisation Committee was established to provide advice to the Academic Board on matters relating to the development of internationalisation in the University.

The Committee:

  2. Recommends to Academic Board on quality assurance processes with respect to the University’s academic programs for international students (including those offered off-shore).
  3. Provides advice to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) on matters relating to the University’s Internationalisation Plan.

Internationalisation Strategy Committee

The Internationalisation Strategy Committee provides advice to the DVC&VP(A) on:

  1. The strategic directions for internationalisation in the context of the University’s Strategic Plan;
  2. The development of measurable targets for strategic and operational planning across all relevant international activities such as staffing and student exchanges, student enrolments, learning and teaching (including graduate attributes), research and research training, scholarships, prizes and awards;
  3. The implications of the number of international students enrolled in academic coursework programs;
    Proposed opportunities for new international partnerships, and renewal of existing partnerships via formal agreements or memorandums of understanding;
  4. The development of an integrated internationalisation operational plan taking into account the learning and Teaching Plan and the Research and Research Training Plan, and the monitoring of its implementation;
  5. The development of an international marketing plan in the context of the Strategic Plan and the internationalisation operational plan;
    Any other matter that the DVC&VP(A) may determine as relevant to the purpose of the committee.

International Marketing Information Exchange Roundtable

The role of the roundtable is to exchange information about a particular international student market for the University so that staff can leverage off each other and maximise the University’s student recruitment and other linkages there.  It is a forum for information exchange, not a committee.  There are no formal terms of reference.

International Student Matters Committee

The International Student Matters Committee is a subcommittee of the University’s Internationalisation Committee. The Committee acts as an information exchange. Each member is expected to brief the meeting on recent and impending developments in their area concerning international students.

Faculty Internationalisation Committees

Four out of the five University faculties have Internationalisation Committees that perform various functions.

The Faculty Internationalisation Committee Terms of Reference are as follows:
