School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering governance
The School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is overseen by the Dean of School and supported by a dedicated Executive Team, which guides the strategic, academic, and operational directions of the school. Teaching activities take place at both the City East and Mawson Lakes campuses, while research activities conducted by our academic staff are spread across the City East, Mawson Lakes, Thebarton, Roseworthy, and Waite campuses.
The Executive Team consists of the Dean of School, the School Manager, and a group of Academic Leads who provide leadership in key areas such as Research and Innovation, Academic Affairs, Student Experience and Success, and International and External Engagement. In addition to the Executive Team, a broader governance network supports the school's daily operations and long-term development. Program Directors, Academic and Research Integrity Officers, and the Graduate Research Coordinator play critical roles in maintaining academic standards, ensuring research integrity, and fostering student development. Other roles, including Year Coordinators, Outreach Coordinators, Lab Users Forum Coordinators, and Seminar Coordinators, also contribute to creating an inclusive and well-connected academic community.
The school's governance structure demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive leadership, transparency, and continuous improvement. This ensures that every member of the school community contributes to a vibrant and forward-looking environment. The school focuses significantly on enhancing the student experience, providing an excellent learning environment, and promoting world-class research and innovation.
