Open Day 2010

The cold and wet weather couldn't dampen the fantastic atmosphere on campus at the University of Adelaide's Open Day, which was one of our best ever!

Thousands of people visited the annual Open Day at the North Terrace Campus last month.

"Feedback from parents, young people, staff and students has been very positive and reinforces the value of our high-profile event," said Vice-Chancellor and President Professor James McWha.

"Open Day clearly demonstrates the University's position as an integral part of the South Australian community and helps to encourage the next generation of students to our campus.

"Particularly pleasing was the number of families who visited the University, with students of all ages, not just in Year 12. The great variety of talks and exhibitions meant that there really was something for everyone, with some presentations proving so popular that there was standing room only."

Open Day also proved popular in social media, with a large number of comments and compliments about the event on the University's Facebook, Twitter and various blogs.
