Science and research funding
University of Adelaide researchers and affiliates are among those sharing in $3.8 million of new funding from the Premier's Science and Research Fund. The funding is a boost to a number of the State's science and research capabilities in key areas, including: the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing, the Adelaide Proteomics Centre (a joint venture of the University of Adelaide and SA Pathology), and the Australian Wine Research Institute (part of the Wine Innovation Cluster at the Waite Campus). "Such funding will assist our staff, students and affiliates to make major research contributions in the areas of optics and photonics, cancer and other diseases, and the quality of wine," said the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor James McWha.
