Asian Development Bank (ADB) Members Visit AIML for the ADB Digital, Climate, and Innovation Program

Members of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) as part of the ADB Digital, Climate, and Innovation Program, held in Adelaide from 9–11 September 2024. The goal of the visit was to explore how the University of Adelaide’s AI and machine learning expertise could support ADB’s objectives in the Asia-Pacific region.

The visit began with a welcome from AIML Director, Professor Simon Lucey, followed by a presentation from Dr. Feras Dayoub, who highlighted AIML’s key research areas and their practical applications. ADB representatives Marc Lepage and Massimo Petrone also shared details of their current and upcoming projects, opening discussions on how the University’s strengths could align with ADB’s needs.
