Poppy@AIML Scholarship: Innovation in Artificial Intelligence for Defence
AIML is excited to announce a new scholarship program in partnership with the Defence Artificial Intelligence Centre to support two full time PhDs who are commencing/undertaking research in into computer vision, machine learning and deep learning.

PhD Scholarships in Visual SLAM and Computer/Robotic Vision and Machine Learning for visual recognition
The Australian Centre for Visual Technologies (ACVT-now AIML) at The University of Adelaide has 12 PhD scholarships available for both local and international students interested in pursuing a PhD. These Scholarships are funded from an ARC Laureate Fellowship to Prof Ian Reid entitled “Lifelong Computer Vision Systems”, and an ARC Centre of Excellence in Robotic Vision, with Investigators Prof Reid, Prof Chunhua Shen, Dr Gustavo Carneiro and Prof Anon Van den Hengel.

ACVT (now AIML) is working with the Australian Plant Accelerator on image-based phenomics and there are opportunities for co-supervised postgraduate scholarships.

Google Scholarship Award
It has just been announced that Trung Pham, one of our PhD students, has been awarded the 2012 Google Australia Fellowship in Computer Vision.
DSIC Scholarship for Lachlan Fleming
The Defence Systems Innovation Centre (DSIC) has just awarded Lachlan Fleming, an ACVT PhD student, a scholarship.
