University Council Appointment
Alumna Emily Jenke graduated with a Bachelor of Agricultural Business in 1999 and has recently been elected as the graduate member of the University of Adelaide Council. She will serve a two-year term from 6 September 2020 to 5 September 2022.
Emily owns democracyCo, a proudly South Australian small business which specialises in complex community engagement, and has worked to guide governments in Australia and internationally through complex political and highly charged environments.
Since 2016, she has been the Presiding Member of the SA Native Vegetation Council and a Murray Darling Basin Community Committee member. Additionally she has chaired and been a member of private, public and school boards and values collaboration and robust governance.
Emily lives on a family farm in Strathalbyn with her husband Paul and three teenage children where they produce olive oil. She feels that her unique expertise and experience will support the University of Adelaide to navigate complexity, lead boldly and build critical stakeholder relationships into the future.
