Guest speakers
For this reunion, we have organised a fantastic panel of guest speakers who will reflect on their Roseworthy and Waite university days and discuss what they're up to now. The panel will be moderated by alumna Emily Jenke (Bachelor of Agricultural Business 1999) and we will hear from Bianca Lewis (Bachelor of Environmental Management 1999), Jordan Wilksch (Bachelor of Agricultural Science 2003) and Haydn Kuchel (Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Honours) 2000).
Emily Jenke
Co CEO, democracyCo
Emily is the Co CEO of democracyCo, the presiding member of South Australia's Native Vegetation Council and sits on the Murray Darling Basin Authority's Basin Community Committee. Emily met her husband at Roseworthy and now lives with her family, along with her little red Suzuki Mighty Boy, on a property at Langhorne Creek where they produce boutique olive oils.
Haydn Kuchel
CEO and Head of Breeding
Australian Grain Technologies (AGT)
At university, Haydn revelled in the constant buzz of learning and being surrounded by others passionate about agriculture. As an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University, Haydn now lectures in plant breeding. He also supervises postgraduate students himself and is the CEO and Head of Breeding at AGT.
Bianca Lewis
Manager Pastoral Board
Primary Industries and Regions SA
Bianca has worked in NGOs and local and State Government. Currently as the Manager Pastoral Board for PIRSA she is responsible for managing the delivery of the Pastoral Act. When she's not working, Bianca spends time outdoors hiking in Adelaide's parks, catching live gigs and enjoying delicious South Australian cheese.
Jordan Wilksch
Owner and Manager
Wilksch Agriculture
During his University days, Jordan preferred hanging out in the Waite arboretum to downing draught cans at the Woolshed. Nowadays, he's the owner and manager of Wilksch Agriculture, which crops 3,650 hectares of farming land on the Lower Eyre Peninsula.
