James Muecke's message of support for students

Australian of the Year for 2020 Dr James Muecke AM, is the latest of our prominent alumni to send a message of support to students during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr Muecke, is a medical graduate (MBBS, 1988) and a Distinguished Alumnus of the University of Adelaide. He is also a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University.

He has made it his life's work to fight childhood blindness in low-income countries. His not-for-profit organisation Sight For All has made significant steps towards eliminating blindness in Asia.

This message is thanks to the collaboration between the University of Adelaide and Adelaide University Union (AUU) to help support students’ wellbeing during the global pandemic.
