Professional Certificate in Arbitration
The best preparation for a career in conflict resolution
Arbitration is about finding impartial conflict solutions outside the court room.
Professional arbitrators have the knowledge and skills needed to make real and lasting progress in this area. They settle differences and difficulties with tact and integrity.
What will you do?
This unique, targeted degree sets you up for success in domestic commercial arbitration. You will:
- learn from highly skilled and qualified practitioners
- build advanced knowledge of the legal, procedural and communication aspects of arbitration
- understand the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution within the Australian legal system
- benefit from experiential learning, flexible delivery and meaningful industry connections.
We deliver our Professional Certificate in Arbitration in two parts: an Introduction to Arbitration and an Advanced Course. It’s best completed over two university semesters with the introduction course from March to June, and the advanced course from July to November.
Where could it take you?
You could find yourself involved in arbitration proceedings at any stage. You might work for government, legal, religious, healthcare or finance and insurance organisations.
