While much of healthcare is about keeping death at bay, for patients and families dealing with life-limiting illness it’s all about making their remaining time as meaningful as possible. So how do we do that, especially for vulnerable or marginalised groups? Jaklin, whose research deals with palliative care’s social and moral aspects, is leading a state-wide consortium investigating this very question.
