Welcome to 2022 – the last year of the PRIF Mining Consortium!

We look forward to working together with our research and industry partners in developing tools to integrate the entire mining value chain by using machine learning, sensors and data analytics and creating technology solutions to maximise copper production.

The Consortium has 14 Research Projects and 11 Translation (industry) projects, 15 Chief Investigators experienced in mining, mineral processing and computer science, 8 postdoctoral researchers and 10 higher degree by research (HDR) students. Cash and other support comes from 17 industry partners and 2 universities.

Most of our research and translation projects are progressing well and on their final stages. Four (4) Translation Projects were completed in 2020, while two (2) Research Projects were completed in 2021. Please note, that all research activities of the Consortium are expected to be completed by December 2022.
