Join us on the 9th November for the launch of an unique exhibition showcasing Nobel Laureate J.M. Coetzee’s youthful foray into photography, when he attempted to capture ‘the moment when truth revealed itself’. Offering intriguing glimpses of Coetzee’s childhood in Cape Town in the mid-1950s, these images demonstrate how deeply photography shaped his creative development. The exhibition will be launched by curator A/Prof Hermann Wittenberg (University of the Western Cape) with a special reading by J.M. Coetzee.
