Tasmanian Tiger Meets Hokkaido Wolf

This month we read Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner’s Iep Jāltok, poetry that offers a powerful testimony of the Anthropocene. In this debut collection, Jetñil-Kijiner, who is also the Marshall Islands’ climate change envoy to the United Nations, speaks to the violent histories of nuclear testing, racism, and militarism that affect the region. Discussion will be facilitated by scholars Mandy Treagus and Theodora Germanos-Galanis together with poet Jill Jones.
