2023 Australian Rover Challenge

Australian Rover Challenge

The Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh) is back in 2023!

The University of Adelaide, with support from our premier partner Boeing, major partners ispace, the Australian Space Agency, and event supporters Defence SA, SASIC and Drone Deploy, are excited to host the 2023 Australian Rover Challenge (ARCh).

The ARCh features Australian university students building, operating and competing their semi-autonomous rovers in a simulated lunar environment, accomplishing navigation, resource utilisation, and construction tasks while assisted and mentored by industry and government partners.

The rovers will attempt in-situ resource evaluation, perform semi-autonomous tasks and interact with the environment using a robotic arm. In addition to the physical challenge, students will present their rover designs to Australian Rover Challenge judges comprising industry professionals and academia.

Cheer on team University of Adelaide, as they design and build a rover to compete in a full-scale simulated lunar mission.

Session times: Thursday 23, Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March, 10 am to 5 pm

More details about the teams involved and competition tasks is available here.
