OER Community of practice meeting

The Open Educational Resources Community of Practice (OER CoP) is a forum for academic and professional staff at the University of Adelaide to collaborate, learn, and share advice in the discovery, use, and creation of open educational resources (OERs).

At this first meeting of the OER CoP, you will hear from guest speaker Ash Barber (Academic Librarian, UniSA Library), about her experience supporting and advocating for OERs, including her development of the EmpoweredOER  website, what she learnt from a tour of OER initiatives in the US, and her work as co-facilitator of the Australasian Open Educational Practice Special Interest Group  (sponsored by ASCILITE). You will also hear about the University of Adelaide Library's support for OERs and have an opportunity to discuss open educational practice with like-minded academic and professional colleagues.

This first meeting will be held in-person on North Terrace campus, but future meetings will alternate between online and in-person. If you cannot attend this session but would like to join the discussion afterwards on Teams and receive invites to future monthly meetings, consider joining the CoP.
