Biography:

Bernard H Casey is a retired academic. He has specialized in the economic implications of societal ageing and has written papers on labor markets for older persons, public and private pensions, and the financing of care for the frail elderly. 

He studied at the Universities of Oxford and London and held appointments at various universities in the UK. He was a guest at universities in Australia and China and was a visiting professor at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. He also worked as a consultant to the European Commission in Brussels and as a senior economist at the OECD in Paris.
