Aus Lights on the River, an event run by the Australia Day Council of SA, is a two-day program on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 January. The event will include immersive, visually engaging light, vision, and sound installations supported with complimentary children’s activations.
The 2024 Aus Lights on the River Program will be inspired by creative visions of Belonging to Country and Connecting to Nature, and include:
- 25 January at 7.30pm: Twilight Reflections: First Nations Ceremony.
- 26 January at 7am: Mourning in the Morning – Smoking Ceremony event.
The Respecting Country Parade, from 7pm on 26 January, will recognise over 75 intercultural communities that form part of our migrant and refugee story, and highlight the diversity and richness that makes up South Australia.
Both nights will culminate in a spectacular cinematic fireworks display.
