It’s an exciting time to make and enjoy Australian agave spirit. The national scene has taken off in the past year, with this masterclass set to feature pioneering producers who each have their own style.
Hear from Act of Treason’s Trent Fraser, who is working in collaboration with the University of Adelaide to produce an Australian agave spirit made from 100 per cent Australian-grown agave and has just won gold at the San Francisco International Spirits Awards.
Taste products from Act of Treason, Mt Uncle Distillery, Mount Compass Spirits, Black Snake Distillery, Echuca Distillery and Hermetica Distillery. Accompanying the tastings will be a spectacular feast prepared by Daniella Guevara Muñoz and University of Adelaide researcher Dr Kor-jent van Dijk of La Popular Taqueria, who put their Australian twist on Mexican classics.
