The Growing Trend of Education “Non-Consumers”: Why Are So Many Young People Opting Out of Higher Education and How Can We Re-Engage Them?
Across a number of developed economies, the percentage of recent school leavers enrolling directly into higher education has declined, threatening national and state goals to improve access and close skill gaps. What factors are driving this decline, and how can universities better recruit and retain these potential students?
The University of Adelaide’s 2025 EAB State of the Sector Briefings are an important and exclusive series of seminars that will provide integral insights and intelligence relevant to staff working across admissions and recruitment, international engagement, partnerships, business development and strategy.
Sessions will offer tailored insights and intelligence focused on local, national and global trends in Higher Education, challenges and opportunities the sector is facing, and current and potential impacts on the sector that education professionals should be aware of in 2025 and beyond.
The seminars will cover topics such as generative AI, new credential design, enrolment trends at domestic and international levels, the future of hybrid working and learning, staff burnout, rising costs of research competition and more.
Tea and coffee will be available via the PACE business suite.
