Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, the Governor of South Australia, will be among guests taking part in a panel discussion at the University of Adelaide on the state’s global future and South Australia’s position in the world post-COVID.

The forum will feature a short keynote address by the Governor, followed by the panel discussion and questions from the floor. It will be chaired by the University of Adelaide’s Professor Jacqueline Lo who is Pro Vice-Chancellor (International).

They will be joined by:

  • Professor Peter Høj AC, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Adelaide;
  • Mr Andrew Nunn, South Australian Chief Entrepreneur;
  • Ms Carolyn Hewson AO, Non-executive Director of the Reserve Bank of Australia and CSL Ltd.

Topics to be discussed will be around a vision for South Australia’s place in the world; strategies for ensuring our key globally connected industries (agriculture, wine, defence, education and resources) thrive beyond COVID; new opportunities and challenges to growth and building a distinctive South Australian style of global engagement.

The one-hour event will be held in Bonython Hall on North Terrace Campus and begins at midday. The event is free, but admission is by ticket.
