The NCP is a federal government initiative that supports Australian undergraduates to undertake study, language training, and internships in the Indo-Pacific region. Its aim is to strengthen knowledge of the region within Australia and deepen international connections.

Through the program, students will engage in scholarship study for up to one year in over 40 host locations from Japan to Fiji.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement) at the University of Adelaide, Professor Jessica Gallagher, congratulated the students on their achievement.

“I extend sincere congratulations to our students who have been awarded the New Colombo Plan Scholarship,” Professor Gallagher said. “This program represents a great opportunity for students to experience academic life overseas, immerse themselves in new cultures, and build global connections.

“With the University’s strong links to institutions around the world, we’re able to collaborate with like-minded people and work toward a shared goal of a brighter future.”
