50 regional and remote schools embark on a mission to uncover new insect species

Fifty regional and remote schools across South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia have been selected to take part in a new citizen science project, Insect Investigators, led by the South Australian Museum and supported by the University of Adelaide.

A new citizen science project, Insect Investigators, led by the South Australian Museum and involving the University of Adelaide’s Dr Erinn Fagan-Jeffries, will connect school students with scientists to document their local insect biodiversity and discover insects in their area.

Four primary schools in regional South Australia have been involved in the discovery and naming of new species of wasp as part of a trial of a new citizen science project led by the University of Adelaide.
