Library restoration unearths unusual hidden history
During the restoration project of the University of Adelaide’s historic Reading Room, considered to be one of the most beautiful libraries in Australia, staff uncovered a flight of paper planes flown by distracted students into the nooks and crannies of the building – some more than three decades old.

Rewriting the history of the autobiographical graphic novel
Researchers at the University of Adelaide believe what might be the earliest autobiographical graphic novel is held in the University Library’s Special Collections, thanks to a recent generous donation from an alumna.

Portrait honours Aboriginal leader
As part of National Reconciliation Week, a new portrait has been unveiled in the Barr Smith Library of Uncle Rodney (Rod) O’Brien, respected Kaurna Elder and Cultural Advisor at the University of Adelaide.
