Kick-off your 2022 uni adventure in style with the Adelaide University Union’s O’Week festivities.

Campus life is more than lectures and tutorials, there’s a whole community of clubs and societies and experiences you can get involved with to meet friends, build your skills, and make your time at the University of Adelaide one to remember.

Once you’ve attended your degree introductory talks, head down to Barr Smith Lawns / Maths Lawns and join the Orientation festivities with entertainment, stalls, and free food and drink, or come to one of our social events throughout the week!

Welcome fiesta

Date: Monday 21 February

Get orientated with a full week of competitions, clubs, freebies, food, service stalls and entertainment – commencing with the Adelaide University Union’s Welcome Fiesta! Join for the VC’s Welcome, free lunch, member-exclusive perks, entertainment, games, giveaways, and more.

Community and volunteering day

Chat to a huge range of not for profits about how you can donate your time to a worthy cause.

The AUU are bringing the beach to the Barr Smith Lawns. Soak up the sun and enjoy the vibes at Summertime Social. Grab your mates and chill out to the DJ, play lawn games, and enjoy all the free ice-blocks you can eat.

Waite O’day

Date: Thursday 24 February
Time: 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
Location: McLeod House Lawns

O’Week is coming to Waite! Head to the McLeod House Lawns for a free BBQ lunch, complimentary massages, games, competitions and more.

Lazy breakfast

Date: Friday 25 February
Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Location: Barr Smith Lawns

Chat with your Student Representative Councillors (SRC), enjoy music, games, and more while the AUU cook up a storm. Join on the Lawns from 11am for bacon and egg rolls, vegan breakfast paella, and coffee.

River picnic

Date: Friday 25 February
Time: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Soak up the summer sun and get to know other new students as you relax by the river. Wrap up your O’Week experience with a wholesome guided hike around Adelaide’s Parklands.
