Amanda is a professional non-executive director with extensive governance experience spanning start-ups to ASX200 in technology, finance and property. She has particular strengths in research commercialisation, venture capital, innovation policy and governance.
Originally trained as an accountant, Amanda worked in the US technology sector, investment banking and the Federal Treasury in her early career. She co-founded a software company selling to customers in more than 60 countries and became a pioneer of the Australian venture capital industry as CEO of an early-stage technology fund investing in software, electronics and medical device start-ups. Amanda has taught marketing and product strategy for the Australian Graduate School of Management and advised numerous governments and universities on innovation systems, venture capital policy and commercialisation.
Amanda holds a BA (Accounting) from UniSA, an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
