Academic grade adjustments (Cognos Analytics: student self service)

The temporary grading adjustment measures that have been approved by Academic Board which relate to the majority of teaching periods in 2020, are now reflected (where grades have been processed in Peoplesoft Campus Solutions) in the data warehouse, accessed via Cognos Analytics: Student Self Service.

For eligible teaching periods only, for a course enrolment, within the Result data group Fails (F, Marks 1 to 49 and FNS) will have a Grade Code of WNF and Grade of ‘Withdraw No Fail*’. The original mark value (as entered via grade rosters) has been retained for reference with an ‘*’ appended in the Mark field [e.g. Mark: 8* Grade: Withdraw No Fail*]. The Mark field that is available within MEASURES: Course Enrolment does not contain these values as this a numeric field only and no calculations should be performed for these marks as they are not failing marks.

The new Grade of PNG (Pass Non Graded) will also become available as they are entered into the student system by Student Administration.

When analysing grades for this year and/or previous years please remember the above changes will impact your analysis, please make the necessary changes to your own personal or shared reports.
