Progress in Radar Research 2019

The 2019 Workshop on Progress in Radar Research (PIRR 2019) is an opportunity for radar researchers to share their current research and interact with their research peer group. It is jointly organised by Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group) and the University of Adelaide’s Radar Research Centre (AR2C).

This year's workshop will be held on Monday 4th – Tuesday 5th November 2019, at the University of Adelaide, North Terrace, Adelaide.

About PIRR

The PIRR series of workshops, held annually except for the “3” and “8” years when Australia hosts the International Conference on Radar (RADAR 20xx), is the annual Australian meeting of the community engaged in research into radar and allied fields. Past workshops have attracted over 100 registrants. PIRR 2019 will follow a similar format to that of previous PIRR workshops, with 2 days of presentations and discussion.

Topics of interest

PIRR 2019 topics include research into any area of radar, tracking or related areas of science or technology.  Consistent with the intent of the workshop series, PIRR 2019 welcomes proposals for presentations in areas outside radar which bear on issues faced by radar researchers.

Student Travel Scholarships

Travel scholarships of $500 are available to students to participate in PIRR2019. To qualify for the scholarship, the recipient must be currently enrolled as a research student at an Australian University and have an accepted abstract to the workshop. The scholarships are competitive in nature, with their award determined by the technical committee.
