Public engagement in controversial fields: Vaccine hesitancy, marine science and climate change

On 30 March 2022, we were joined by Assoc Prof Katie Attwell, Dr Zoë Doubleday and Dr Josh Wodak for a panel discussion on public engagement within controversial fields.

The discussion, which was chaired by Prof Rachel Ankeny, focused on three controversial areas, namely vaccine hesitancy, marine science and climate change. Some of the topics discussed during the seminar included: ways to effectively communicate with vaccine refusers, the importance of accessible scientific writing and the divisive nature of approaches to climate change.

A recording of the seminar can be found here.
