Student Administration Operations
The Student Administration Operations (SAO) team sits within the Student Experience branch in the Division of Academic and Student Engagement.
SAO aims to provide streamlined, integrated, and intuitive administration services and systems to enable students to progress successfully through their university lifecycle. This is achieved through:
- Developing and maintaining student and administrative data systems to ensure an accurate student record and reporting of Tertiary Collection of Student Information (TCSI) to the Department of Education.
- Engaging and collaborating with academic and professional staff in faculties, schools and central divisions across the university and government.
- Leading the creation, implementation, and delivery of program and course data, timetabling, enrolments, scholarships, prizes, examinations, results, and graduation.
Led by the Associate Director Student Administration Operations, Charlotte Powell, the team provides services across the following areas:

Administration Units
Enrolment and student records
The Enrolment and Student Records team process all applications for Amendment to Enrolment and Fees, and provide advice and support for enrolment issues for staff and students.
They are responsible for processing changes to historical records, personal details, and transcript text to ensure the accuracy of recorded information. They also manage student welcome emails, academic progress and education verification statements.
Timetabling
The University Timetabler coordinates the operational development of the yearly academic timetable in partnership with Faculties and Schools. Training and ongoing support for Syllabus Plus Enterprise and associated systems is also provided.
Exams and results
The Examinations and Results team are responsible for the coordination of centrally administered end of teaching period examinations and the administrative management of results and grades. They also offer services to external organisations to assist in the management of their distance examinations.
Graduations
The Graduations team are responsible for the planning and implementation of graduation events, the maintenance of graduation records and student transcripts. Visit the graduations website for more information.
Coursework scholarships & prizes
The Coursework Scholarships & Prizes team manage the University’s centrally administered undergraduate, honours and postgraduate by coursework scholarships & prizes.
Data collection and reporting
Data Collection and Reporting is responsible for the implementation of legislative requirements, preparation and submission of the University’s mandatory student data collections to the Federal Department of Education, Australian Taxation Office, Services Australia (Centrelink) and other external agencies in accordance with legislative requirements.
Systems and admin support - SA PeopleSoft
The SA PeopleSoft team is responsible for the functional operation, maintenance and access support of the University’s core student systems – Campus Solutions [PeopleSoft], Course Catalogue, Access Adelaide and Syllabus Plus Enterprise.
