Example of a Drupal website
We're Moving to Drupal
To ensure the University can continue providing a solid website platform in the future, site maintainers will be contacted when their site is eligible to move to the new platform which has the added benefit of a responsive template.
What is Drupal?
Drupal is a content management system used to build websites. It allows editors to focus on what's really important - the content, by providing standardised components and a consistent web development & content management experience.
Migration process
The Web and Digital team will contact site maintainers when their site is eligible to move across to the new platform. We will agree on a site structure (generally there will be a few changes - this is good time to review your content) and setup a development site for you. You will need to attend a training session. From there, you can start adding content to the new site - we will work with you during the migration process. Once you are happy with the development site, we need to check it over before going live (we need at least 2 weeks notice), once ready we can then put your site live in Drupal for you to continue updating as per usual.
