Defence Trailblazer

Innovation & Commercialisation for Defence

Gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to take your defence innovation to market

Defence Trailblazer has developed a Defence Innovation & Commercialisation Program to assist with the identification of research and technology that can contribute to Australia’s sovereign defence capability.

The program will see defence industry leaders, university academics and commercialisation experts work together with participants to optimise pathways for commercialisation and market access.

Addressing the specific needs of people looking to successfully engage with defence market opportunities, the program will be delivered in several stages starting with an information session to explore possible approaches to commercialisation.

Defence Trailblazer Commercialisation Bootcamp

The Defence Trailblazer Commercialisation Bootcamp provides a solid introduction to entrepreneurship and commercialisation channels with a specific focus on the defence market.

This program is for people with little previous experience in entrepreneurship or commercialisation.  It will provide the opportunity to understand the frameworks that govern these activities ahead of the Entrepreneurship Foundations in Defence Program that follows.

The Bootcamp will run across 2 days with access to experienced commercialisation professionals and defence industry experts. It will include interactive workshop activities and culminate in a value proposition pitch session with constructive feedback from experts.

The Bootcamp will be hosted by the University of Adelaide’s ThincLab team and the University of NSW’s Founders team with support from industry partners.

Applications close: 6th February 2024, 5.30 pm AEDT
