International Day of Light 2024

In celebration of the International Day of Light, Centre director Prof Kishan Dholakia presented a special lecture entitled: “A Trip on the Light Fantastic” as part of an Optica Student Chapter Event.

The seminar highlighted the diverse uses of light and its vital importance across different areas of life, attracting a broad audience that included both high school students and academic professionals. PhD students Zane Peterkovic and Gabriel Britto Monteiro engaged attendees with interactive, hands-on optical demonstrations, offering an opportunity to explore and understand Physics in an immersive way.
