Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2021 - 2024

The University of Adelaide is an inclusive and supportive community that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing.

Our vision recognises that positive mental health and wellbeing is a fundamental contributor to student success throughout their educational journey and beyond. Responding effectively to the diverse range of student health and wellbeing needs is a key aim.

In consultation with students and staff, the University of Adelaide has developed the Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2021-2024 . The Strategy guides University wide opportunities to support and improve the mental health and wellbeing of our students throughout their university experience.

Progress is reported annually to the Vice-Chancellor’s Executive and Academic Board and made available to staff and students. A baseline audit of existing activities was conducted in 2023 to identify potential gaps and shape opportunities for the future (see 'reporting').

If you are passionate about health and wellbeing and want to be part of bridging the gap between theory and practice, this is an excellent opportunity to get involved.

The Wellbeing Champion network is a commitment by the University of Adelaide to delivering the outcomes of the Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy and we are excited to have your involvement. Network membership is open to any staff member.
