National Reconciliation Week (NRW) celebrates and builds upon the respectful relationships shared by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other Australians.
Building upon the 2016 theme of "Our History, Our Story, Our Future", Professor Alan Cooper, director of the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA (ACAD), and Dr Raymond Tobler, ARC Indigienous fellow and geneticist with ACAD, present a seminar on the Aboriginal Heritage Project.
The Aboriginal Heritage Project brings together a team of researchers to collaborate with Aboriginal communities to reconstruct their genetic history using ground-breaking techniques. Prof Cooper and Dr Tobler speak about the project and the surprising genetic results so far.
