People, Nature, Climate

The economic benefit we derive from our environment, biodiversity and ecosystem services is increasingly being recognised and provides opportunity for economic and societal support and development. We need to be able to reposition our economy from being extractive to one which is ‘nature positive’. Work in this area has focused on understanding the economic potential of underdeveloped food species and wild relatives, and designing effective, efficient and equitable forestry-based mitigation policies and practices in Asia and Africa.
