SAiGENCI Cancer Research
The Centre brings together a team of world-leading researchers with strengths in blood cancers and solid tumours, particularly breast, lung, sarcomas and melanoma, with a focus on treatment options tailored to the individual.
Dame Roma Mitchell Cancer Research Laboratories
This research program strives to improve disease outcomes for men with prostate cancer and women with breast cancer by deeply understanding how sex hormones control tumour behaviour.

Neuroscience and brain health
Cerebral palsy research
Using our unique cerebral palsy family DNA biobank and clinical database, we are performing new generation sequencing on families with CP-affected children to uncover genetic changes in individual patients and whether these unique changes contributed to cerebral palsy.
Peter Couche Stroke research
Every 10 minutes someone in Australia suffers a stroke, making it the leading cause of disability in our country. All gifts made to the Peter Couche Stroke Research Fund of the University of Adelaide will support cutting edge stroke research. The fund will continue a mission to advance stroke research, fellowships and scholarships, with a goal to raise $5 million in support of an academic chair in stroke research at the University.
Psychiatric research
The discipline of Psychiatry at the University of Adelaide contributes to two core Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences research areas: neuroscience, behaviour and brain health; and translational health outcomes.

Indigenous Oral Health Unit
The Indigenous Oral Health Unit focuses specifically on the oral health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people including access to dental care, the labour force and provision of dental care to this disadvantaged population.

Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders
Research undertaken focuses on the spectrum on heart rhythm disorders, with the mission of the Centre being to advance the understanding and management of heart rhythm disorders with the aim of improving health and wellbeing in the community.

Oral health
Community Outreach Dental Program
Driven by the Adelaide Dental School, the Community Outreach Dental Program provides dental and other health services for people who have suffered homelessness, or have difficulty accessing conventional care.
Dental Research Education Fund
The Dental Research and Education Fund manages the Adelaide Dental School’s professional networking and fundraising activities, with the aim of the Fund being to help the school improve people’s quality of life through outstanding dental care.
