    These criteria may include a range of variable including degree level, academic merit, financial need, leadership potential, and areas of interest or specialisation.

  • Can I meet my scholarship recipient?

    While we cannot guarantee individual meetings between donors and scholarship recipients, we recognise the value of fostering connections between benefactors and students.

    We can facilitate opportunities for donors to meet scholarship recipients at the annual Scholarship Reception and through other engagement activities, allowing you to witness firsthand the impact of your generosity.

  • How can I stay informed about the impact of my scholarship?

    Our dedicated Advancement team is committed to keeping scholarship donors informed about the impact of their contributions. We provide regular updates, reports, and testimonials highlighting the achievements and experiences of scholarship recipients.

    Additionally, donors may have the opportunity to attend scholarship-related events, connect with recipients, and engage with university leadership to stay informed about the ongoing impact of their scholarship.

  • What support will the University provide in administering the scholarship?

    The University of Adelaide provides comprehensive support in administering scholarships, including assistance with establishing scholarship criteria, managing the selection process, and disbursing scholarship funds.

    Our Advancement staff will work closely with you to ensure that the administration of your scholarship is seamless and efficient. We do not charge fees for setting up or administering scholarships, allowing you to maximise the impact of your donation.

  • Can I support the One Bright Future scholarship initiative through a bequest?

    Bequests over $100,000 can be endowed, so that funding can be used for a specific purpose, such as an annual undergraduate scholarship. For endowed postgraduate scholarships a minimum value of $700,000 to $930,000 is required.

    Gifts of less than $100,000 are intended to support non-endowed scholarships.

  • What investment strategy is the endowed scholarship model based on?

    Endowed scholarships are invested in accordance with the University's investment policies and guidelines.

    The principal gift is invested to generate income, and only the earnings generated from the investment are used to fund the scholarship awards. This ensures the perpetual support of the scholarship fund, allowing it to benefit future generations of students.
