Meteorites may have brought water to Earth in the recent past
Dr Lucy McGee from the Department of Earth Sciences at the University Adelaide is co-author on a new paper published in Science on the 8 January 2021.
Some meteorites that fell to Earth relatively recently may have contained liquid water within the past million years. This means space rocks might have delivered water to our planet’s surface throughout its history rather than just very early on. Read more
