About me

Professor Paul Lord is an experienced clinician and medical educator and has oversight of the Adelaide University’s medical degree program. He has expertise in program management, curriculum development, digital technology in clinical education, and the development and delivery of experiential learning through clinical placements.

Paul has held highly competitive fellowships, including an academic training post with NIHR in the UK and was an NHS England Trailblazer fellow, working in areas of socioeconomic deprivation. Paul continues to practice clinically in General Practice / Family Medicine, where he incorporates his interest in working with underserved patient groups with on-placement medical student teaching.

Paul also has experience working with the national policy and technology appraisal body in the England, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), where he worked as a clinical advisor to develop national indicators of evidence-based practice across Primary and Secondary Care settings.
