I am Dean International and Engagement for the College of Engineering and IT (2025-present), Professor of Structural Engineering (2019-present), and co-Chair of the Transitional Academic Board (2024-present) for Adelaide University.

I hold degrees in engineering, business, and education via BE (Civil) (1994) and PhD (1999) (specialising in structural engineering) (University of New South Wales, Australia); MBA and DIC (2018) (Imperial College London, UK); Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning (2005) (University of Technology Sydney, Australia).

I have won several research awards such as Distinguished Young Researcher Award from the International Institute for FRP in Construction (IIFC), Warren Medal from Engineers Australia, Howard Medal from the UK Institution of Civil Engineers.
