About me

I am a senior research fellow/senior economist specialising in labour economics, human capital, health behaviour, and an experienced researcher, lecturer, and public sector senior analyst and advisor with a demonstrated history in the New Zealand and Australian government departments. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Economics from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. My current research focuses on labour market. The previous role at the Australian National University focused on time use, the labour market, human capital, health behaviour, and health outcomes, including gender inequality. I have worked closely with Australian and international scholars (from the University of Adelaide, ANU, La Trobe University, University of Melbourne, University of Tasmania, RMIT, WZB Berlin, New York University) on labour market, employment, family issues, time use, health behaviour, and health outcomes. Additionally, I have worked with several policymakers and stakeholders (Australian ComCare, DEWR, Department of Education, Department of Health and Aged Care, MBA New South Wales, Queensland Office of Industry Relations). I have provided advice to several agencies on data and proposals, including AIFS, WB Vietnam, ADB, and ABS. I am a Co-Editor for Social Indicators Research (Springer Nature publisher) and an Academic Editor for International Journal of Social Welfare (Wiley publisher).
