​​​Wearable technology and fatigue study: Tracking effects of sleep loss using wearable technologies​

About the study

​​Adelaide University are seeking healthy, non-smoking adults, aged 18-40y, to participate in a 4-night, 3-day, live in laboratory study at the Sleep and Chronobiology Laboratory at Adelaide University Magill Campus. The research aims to track the effects of sleep loss using wearable technologies whilst remaining awake for 40 hours. Participants will also be required to complete cognitive testing throughout.

​All meals are provided, and participants will receive an honorarium of up to $700 for their involvement in the study.

Eligibility requirements

  • ​​All genders
  • ​Healthy, non-smoking adults, aged 18-40y
  • ​No history of sleep disorders
  • ​Adelaide​

This project has been approved by the University of South Australia’s Human Research Ethics Committee with ongoing oversight and monitoring from the new Adelaide University HREC. (Ethics Protocol Approval Number 206347)
