Launching Adelaide University

In mid-July 2024, Adelaide University will be launched on the world stage with a series of events and campaigns, marking another significant step towards opening our doors on 1 January 2026. We will create “moments that matter” as we see the university and its new brand expression come to life.

To align with timings for international student recruitment, there will be a strong presence in key global markets from July this year. International students typically start to consider their future study opportunities 18 months prior to commencement, so positioning the new Adelaide University as a study destination of choice for 2026 will be an important focus in the first sprint.

From this milestone, referred to as Go to Market 2024 (GTM '24), we will be accepting our first international and domestic student enquiries and applications (subject to regulatory approvals being in place) in the second half of the year.

To support our recruitment activities, from mid-July:

  • A subset of Adelaide University programs (which continue to be developed) will be promoted from mid-July as part of the GTM ‘24 program milestone. The subset of programs has been informed by student demand, with a particular focus on international students at this stage. Further program offerings will follow progressively.
  • The Adelaide University website will go live.
  • Adelaide University will start marketing to prospective international students across major global markets, working with trusted agents currently engaged by University of Adelaide and/or University of South Australia.
  • Adelaide University’s international application and admission system will go live, complemented by an international and domestic enquiry management system and student payment system.
  • A dedicated cross-institution enquiry team will be established, to manage all prospective student enquiries.
  • Priority Adelaide University Policies and Procedures required for GTM ’24, to meet regulatory and legislative compliance obligations will be enacted.

A significant part of our GTM ’24 focus will be the launch of the new Adelaide University brand. We are pleased to share that our respective University Councils and the Adelaide University Transition Council have endorsed and approved the new brand approach and we are excited to unveil this through the Adelaide University launch activities.

It is likely that over the coming weeks as we prepare for launch staff will see elements of the proposed new brand and other confidential commercial information regarding Adelaide University. All staff must ensure that this confidential information is kept strictly confidential. It is our shared responsibility to meet this obligation and help to ensure that our launch is an absolute success.

It is through the collaborative efforts of staff from across both institutions that we are on track to achieving the GTM ‘24 milestone. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone involved.

Over the coming weeks, staff involved in key GTM ‘24 activities will be supported through a range of training, demonstrations, and briefing sessions, with further updates to be provided as we move closer to July.
