2025 Annual Meeting of the University Community
On Monday 17 February 2025, The University Council will convene the Annual Meeting of the University Community. This is an opportunity for staff, students and graduates of the University to ask questions and to hear from the Vice-Chancellor and the Chancellor.

Australia India Women Researchers’ Exchange Program
Dr Indu Bala (School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences) has been awarded a fellowship as part of the Australia India Women Researchers’ Exchange (AIWE) Program. Dr Bala will collaborate with Dr B R Ambedkar (National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar) to develop an advanced model to optimise urban rainwater harvesting systems. This partnership aims to enhance sustainable water management through innovative research.

Motor Vehicle Procedures
The Chief Operating Officer has approved amendments to the Motor Vehicle Procedures under the Financial Management Policy, effective immediately.
TFN declaration and super choice
The transfer of staff employment from the foundation universities to Adelaide University will begin on 18 January 2025, as confirmed by Proclamation of the Governor of South Australia on 5 December 2024. To avoid having your tax calculated at the highest marginal tax rate, all staff are required to complete a TFN Declaration and confirm their choice of Super fund with Adelaide University. Round 1 of the Global Engagement Funding Program opening soon
Round 1 of the Global Engagement Funding Program will open for applications in December. This round will provide staff, academics and researchers with an opportunity to secure funding for joint activities and initiatives with flagship, emerging flagship and core partners. New printer fleet now in use across the University
Staff and students are now enjoying a more consistent and reliable print, copy and scan experience, thanks to the recently completed Sustainable Printing Services Project. This project oversaw the deployment of 285 energy-efficient printers across the University. Read more.

Network upgrade now complete
The Network Modernisation project recently upgraded the network infrastructure in 165 University buildings, providing staff and students with faster network access, a seamless connection across locations, and increasing wireless coverage by 35%. New online research ethics and compliance system
Research Services and ITDS are implementing a new online system for managing human research ethics, animal ethics, and gene technology/biosafety applications called ACES (Adelaide Compliance and Ethics System). Work is underway to transfer current systems and processes into this single online platform, scheduled for release in early 2025. More information.
