Parental leave engagement
As part of the Future Employee Experience work for Adelaide University, we are pleased to offer an engagement opportunity where we will be exploring the topic of parental leave. We are seeking input from staff who have returned from parental leave within the last 12-18 months.
AU Student Transition update
The Student Transition project is the holistic coordination and transfer of approximately 50,000 students to Adelaide University. Each continuing student's transition will be supported by an individualised study plan (or detailed communication for Graduate Researchers) to their Adelaide University program, with student enquiry support in place for a smooth student experience.
Mawson Lakes Fellowship Program
Applications for the Mawson Lakes Fellowship Program have been extended until Friday 1 November. Grants are available for the development of research collaboration in urban planning, urban design, environmental management and related disciplines between the three South Australian universities and three universities in Japan – Nagoya, Tsukuba and Waseda. The 2024 CAULLT/ASCILITE Award for Outstanding Leadership in Digital Learning in Higher Education
The award recognises evidence of an individual’s innovative and effective leadership in the broad use of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and overall performance in higher education. Successful winners will be jointly announced by CAULLT and ASCILITE at the annual ASCILITE conference awards ceremony. More information and to apply.
Celebrating the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduates

Fourteen First Nations students will graduate from the University of Adelaide this semester, and their accomplishments were celebrated at a special event hosted by Wirltu Yarlu, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit at the University. Read more.

Festival of Learning and Teaching - registrations now open

Join us for the October Festival of Learning and Teaching, where you can hear from university leaders, gain insights from peer presentations, and delve into key ideas on inclusion and innovation. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Associate Professor Jason Lodge (UQ). This engaging, interactive event will take place on campus, with the option to attend the plenary session online. Email security and phishing
The University system handles around 400,000 emails every day. While some of these are malicious and can cause harm to you and the University, and are blocked, some may get through. Learn more about protecting yourself from email scams and phishing attacks here.
Women's Recreational Running Network
Join the Women's Recreational Running Network every Tuesday and Thursday, 5.15 pm, at the University Footbridge for a 5 or 3 km run or walk. Attend 4 or more runs during October as part of our Mental Health Awareness Challenge and go into the draw to win free running gear. More information.
Self-service health check machines
During September you can get a free health check using the SISU machines located in Hub Central at North Terrace campus, Student Hub at Roseworthy campus or Beltana Cafe at Waite campus. Measurements include blood pressure, heart rate, body fat percentage, height, weight, perceived stress and diabetes risk. More information.
