Alternative Examination Arrangements (AEA)
The University offers Alternative Examination Arrangements (AEA) for students who wish to apply for a variation to the location, time, or conditions of centrally scheduled examinations on the basis of medical and some non-medical grounds.

Application on medical grounds
To apply for Alternative Exam Arrangements (AEA), you will need to register with Disability Support by completing the online Disability Registration form available on the Disability Support website. A Disability Support team member will then contact you to organise an appointment with a Disability Advisor who can discuss your study requirements including Alternative Exam Arrangements.
It’s important to note that each study period has a different cut-off date. Cut-off dates and other information can be viewed via the Disability Support – Frequently Asked Questions.

AEA timetable
AEA exams will usually be sat on the same day and at the same time as scheduled in the timetable. Students with a variation to their timetable will be able to view their adjusted timetable in MyAdelaide. Students must retain a copy of their approved AEA form.

AEA venues
AEA exams will be held at Lower Ground, Napier Building on North Terrace campus.
Please note that some exams may be sat in department or at an agreed location off-campus.
