2023 Picture This... Winners
Study Overseas is pleased to announce the winners of the 2023 Picture This … Photo and Video Competition.
We were incredibly excited to bring this competition back after a few years of limited student travel. This year we had over 200 fantastic entries across 6 different categories showcasing a wide range of student experiences across the world. Students were awarded a AUD150 Ultimate Student Gift Card as their prize for their winning entry.
Beyond the Classroom
This adventurous photo was taken by Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical) with a Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences student, Ben. While on exchange at the University of Oslo in Norway, Ben made the most of his experience in the great outdoors. He hopes his photo encourages many others to go on exchange!
Campus
Our Campus category winner is Chloe who spent Winter School studying English literature at the University of Oxford as a Study Abroad student. This photo showcases the stunning Radcliffe Camera - a library in the heart of Oxford just a few minutes' walk from where Chloe studied.
Industry Connections
Bachelor of Nursing student, Cristain, is the winner of our Industry Connections photo category. While getting to put his skills into practice, Cristain built international industry connections while participating in the Nursing Study Tour to Osaka, Japan in February 2023.
Students in Action
Bachelor of Marine and Wildlife Conservation student, Alesha, is the winner of our Students in Action category. While scuba diving as part of the Beneath the Waves Study Tour, a student met one of the locals of the reefs just off the coast of Ataúro Island in Timor-Leste. This program was offered by the School of Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Science Engineering and Technology and supported by New Colombo Plan funding.
Wow Factor
Gabrielle represented the University of Adelaide at the APRU Undergraduate Leadership Programme in Hong Kong. Her fantastic photo of the Hong Kong skyline, taken from Victoria Peak, was voted the winner of our Wow Factor Category
Reel It
Get a glimpse into Westpac Asian Exchange Scholar, Claudia’s Asian Adventure with this winning reel. Clearly, Claudia kept very busy while studying Japanese on an exchange at Kansai University in Japan as she managed to incorporate visiting many other destinations across Asia during her time abroad.
