Course overview

This course aims to equip learners with knowledge and skills to design for diversity and inclusion in the built environment. Building upon foundational human environment design, this course addresses the social and cultural contexts, Australian legal requirements and professional design processes, and contemporary built environment design for spatial justice. Through critical interpretation and knowledge translation, learners will develop appraisal and design integration skills required for future inclusive built environment design. This course aligns with the program’s intent to understand connections between people and real-world settings and prepares learners to enact ethical leadership and positive change for diverse built environment users.
